Lastly, there are some tips and rough guide when buying a floorball stick outside.

For Stick length
Body height to shaft length
1.30m-1.65m height => 85-92cm shaft length
1.65m-1.75m height => 92-97cm shaft length

It simply means that if you are 1.30m-1.65m tall, you are recommended to get a stick that is 87-91cm length and etc. The length of the stick can be found on the stick.

For Shaft flex (stiffness of the shaft)
Body Weight to shaft flex
30 kg to 50 kg - 30-35mm flex
50 kg to 70 kg - 27-29mm flex
70 kg to 90 kg - 24-26mm flex
>=91kg - 23mm flex

Most of you all are 30kg-50kg so its better for you all to get a stick with over 30mm. Anything not sure can check with me again.

  16. Hi there...no worries...there are many sticks brand selling in singapore...i would encourage the sec1s or new players to not spent so much on sticks...n i cant really tell you which brand is the best because all the sticks are different...its better to get the sec 1s down to shops to try out the sticks...or ask your coach for samples of sticks if possible...thats all i can say to you...coz personally i use a stick that im comfortable with and doesnt cost much. And i have been usimg for 3-4 years already...

  23. Um which type of stick would you recommend for beginners coz I just started floorball. I am also not from tjis school.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Actually its up to your own preference...best if you try out at the store...since you just started the sport...dont get too expensive stick...you can try fatpipe...coz personally i think the sticks are good for controlling the ball because of the blade. It is good for beginners as you need to get familiar with the control of the stick and ball.

    1. Hi thats right. Depending on their age and height. If you are getting a stick for 7 years old and below...there are way shorter sticks that suits them at Valhall which is situated at Mountbatten...if your are looking for sticks for 9 years old onwards...most of the floorball store have different length of sticks suitable for the kids
